Understanding Diabetes
CDHD is committed to educating the residents of Ada, Boise, Elmore and Valley counties about healthy lifestyle behaviors and prevention of disease and injury. This program targets various ages and ethnic groups.
Our goals:
- Increase awareness of diabetes.
- Increase the number of people with diabetes receiving flu and pneumonia vaccines.
- Increase the percentage of people with diabetes who receive recommended foot exams.
- Partner with other organizations to promote diabetes awareness and education.

June 27, 2008The Idaho Diabetes 5-Year State Plan 2008-2013 is the result of a year-long collaboration by the members of the Diabetes Alliance of Idaho (DAI) and others who contributed their knowledge and experience to develop this strategic road map for diabetes care and prevention in Idaho. The Diabetes State Plan focuses on the following comprehensive goals:
